Yvonne Thomas, a devoted minister, loving mother, and respected legal professional, passed away on July 15, 2025, in Tampa, Florida. She was 55 years old.
Born on January 4, 1970, in Passaic, New Jersey, Yvonne was raised in a community that would shape her lifelong commitment to faith and service. She attended the Passaic Public School system and later earned her GED. In 1998, she graduated from El Gran Comision Bible Seminary as an ordained minister—a milestone that marked the beginning of her spiritual leadership journey.
Yvonne dedicated 38 years of her life to working as a legal secretary for some of the top law firms in her area. Her passion, professionalism and diligence earned her the respect of colleagues and clients alike. Yet it was her calling to ministry that truly defined her life's purpose.
In 2009, Yvonne founded Leap of Faith Ministries. A passionate teacher and preacher, she became a prominent figure in her Christian community. Her love for the Lord Jesus Christ was evident in every sermon she delivered and every life she touched. Through Leap of Faith Ministries, she inspired countless individuals with messages of hope, resilience, and unwavering faith.
Yvonne's strength was perhaps most profoundly demonstrated through her courageous 15-year battle with breast cancer. Even amid personal trials, she remained a beacon of light and hope—not only to those close to her but also to people around the world who drew strength from her testimony. Her perseverance and grace left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
