Jane Noel Sutcliffe Giessler

December 18, 1943 - August 8, 2026

A mother, a wife, a caregiver, and a protector of her family and friends, Jane would go to the ends of the earth to take care of the ones that she loved. Jane Noel Sutcliffe Giessler lived a great life of achievements and substance.

Compelled to be a self-starter from a childhood of adversity, Jane, along with her husband Eric, built an incredible life for herself through hard work, sacrifice, love, and nurturing of her family, friends, and the people in her life.

After losing her father at a young age, Jane went out into the world and found full-time work for herself, where she met her husband, Eric. Together, Jane and Eric would build a marriage of love, mutual support, and care for one another. Their commitment to each other elegantly and effortlessly modeled to their children what healthy, supportive relationships should look like.

Jane raised two sons, Todd and Scott. As a matriarch, she exhibited her masterful ability to balance love, nurturing, and compassion with setting clear boundaries and high expectations to live a life of morality and character; all while letting her children find their own way in the world.

When her children were older, she took a job as a secretary at Medfield High School. For the next decade or so, Jane united her secretarial and care-giving skills to look out for the young adults of her hometown.

While she could often come across to some as fierce or tenacious, it was most always in defense of family, friends or the children that needed advocacy. The people in her world were to have everything they needed, and the advantages that she did not.

Jane is survived by her husband, Eric, her two sons, Todd and Scott, her grandchildren, Tom, Jack, Elliott, Ryan and Gabriel, and her sister Barbara. She is predeceased by her brother, Bill, her mother, Christine, and her father, Ellis.

Her Memorial Service will take place on Sunday, August 23rd at 2 pm, at Avalon Park Funeral and Cremation Services. 3680 Avalon Park, East Blvd., Suite 330, Orlando, Florida 32828. In place of flowers, the family prefers that mourners please donate online to American Cancer Society.
