In Loving Memory of Ilia R. Cordero
With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Ilia R. Cordero, who peacefully went home to be with the Lord on June 7, 2026, at the age of 77.
Born on May 27, 1949, Ilia lived a life defined by love, devotion, strength, and selflessness. Her greatest joy was her family, and she dedicated her life to caring for those she loved. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose kindness and generosity touched countless lives.
She took great pride in her children, Ilia M. Cordero and Robert Cordero, and shared with them a bond rooted in love, devotion, and unwavering family closeness. Their deep connection was evident to all who knew them.
Known as “Mama” to her grandchildren, Ilia was a devoted grandmother to Illy, Elizabeth, Riley, and Chloe, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She played an active and loving role in their upbringing, celebrating their milestones and, more importantly, being a steady and cherished presence in their everyday lives.
Ilia’s love extended far beyond blood relations. She deeply loved her daughter-in-law, Kanani Cordero, wife of Robert Cordero, and her son-in-law, Jorge Valladares, husband of Ilia M. Cordero. She treated them as her own children and supported them with the same nurturing love and care she gave so freely to her family.
Her home was always a place of comfort, warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. She enjoyed shopping, decorating her home, and spending time with the people she cherished most. Whether sharing a meal, offering advice, or simply being present, she had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome and deeply loved.
Ilia’s strength, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to her family carried them through both life’s challenges and its celebrations. She taught those around her the importance of kindness, resilience, faith, and putting family first. Her love was constant, her support unwavering, and her presence a blessing to all who knew her.
Though our hearts ache with her loss, we find comfort in knowing that she is at peace in the presence of the Lord. Her legacy lives on in the lives she shaped, the love she gave so freely, and the family she held so close to her heart.
Forever loved, forever missed, and forever remembered.
