Cynthia Beach (née Morrison), age 76, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025, in Fleming Island, Florida, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born at Jubilee Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica, to Ian and Leanora Morrison.

Cynthia received her education at Church Teacher’s College and the University of Technology (UTECH) in Jamaica, West Indies. She was a dedicated educator and a qualified business administrator, teaching at several primary and high schools across Jamaica. She also worked for many years at Alcan Jamaica and Caribbean Cement Company, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends. Ever enterprising, Cynthia pursued various business ventures throughout her life, embodying a spirit of determination and creativity.

Cynthia came to know Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour at a young age and lived out her faith with deep conviction. As a young woman, she attended Maverley Gospel Hall, and after marrying Stephen Beach, the love of her life, she became an active member of Olivet Gospel Hall. There she taught Sunday School, served on numerous committees, and shared the gospel with grace and sincerity, impacting many lives. She also supported Midland Bible Institute for many years as a cherished “Friend of Midland”.

A gifted writer, Cynthia authored the book “To Know Him is to Love Him,” in which she beautifully journaled snapshots of God’s love and faithfulness. Known for her warmth, kindness, wisdom, and generous hospitality, she was always ready to speak of her hope in Christ. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and watching faith-based movies with her beloved grandchildren. In her later years, she continued to bless the lives of her family and friends while residing in Florida.

Cynthia is survived by her loving children:

  • Stephen Beach Jr.
  • Philip Beach and his wife, Shawna
  • Elizabeth (Hope) Laird and her husband, Victor

She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Naomi, Timothy-John, Jada, Matthew, Luke, Joseph, and Sarah, who brought her immense joy.

She is also survived by her siblings Everald, Doreen, Donald, Octavia (Claire), and Ian (Jerry), as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Cynthia was predeceased by her beloved husband Stephen Henry Beach; her son Eric Beach; her brothers Keith, Raymond, and Paul; and her parents Ian and Leanora Morrison.

  • Kingston, Jamaica December 20, 2025 — Olivet Gospel Hall, 143B Waltham Park Road, Kingston 11 at 10:00 a.m.
  • Orlando, Florida December 27, 2025 — Orlando Grace Church, 872 Maitland Ave., Altamonte Springs, FL 32701 at 11:00 a.m.

At her request, there will be no viewing of the body. Cynthia will be laid to rest in Florida, United States.
